Hippocrates, Mahatma Gandhi — as well as modern diet research pioneers –recommend flax seeds for health. Ancient East Indian scriptures advise eating flax seeds for “the highest state of contentment and joy.”
The modern classic, Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill by Edo Erasmus, details the science behind flaxseed consumption. Our TBI Journey family’s pursuit of recovery includes freshly-ground flax in a simple, delicious daily treat.
A large serving of antioxidants such as dark, sweet-sour berries served with freshly-ground flax gives a metabolic and Omega-3 boost that we think assists recovery on many levels; it’s a refreshing treat and needed carb boost for those on a long-term ketogenic diets (also recommended in TBI Journeys nutrition archives.)
